#WorldCancerDay

Over 1 million new cancer cases are reported in India each year. A lot of them are because of air pollution. Today on #WorldCancerDay, let’s pledge to educate ourselves and the society on the most common cause of cancer and learn how to protect ourselves and our families.

Say No To Agarbattis (Incense Sticks): Researchers at the National Cancer Institute found that the mutagenic, genotoxic, and cytotoxic agents in incense fumes were far more potent than those in cigarettes – in other words, they pose a higher risk of cancer than cigarette smoke!

Say No To Mosquito Coils: According to a research, burning a single mosquito coil can do the same amount of damage to your lungs as smoking a 100 cigarettes!

To minimize the damage, always make sure that there is enough ventilation in the room where you are burning an incense stick/mosquito coil.

Share this with your friends and family and join the #FightAgainstCancer initiative.
